The Conservation Team
Hazel has worked in conservation for 22 years. She has been involved with water vole captive breeding for 9 years.
Hazel is a licensed bat worker and dormouse handler. She is a Member of IEEM, Trustee of Kent Bat Group and Committee member of Kent Mammal Group.
Hazel has taught mammal training workshops for the Mammal Society for 11 years and runs a range of mammal courses and workshops in partnership with Kent Mammal Group.
Hazel is also experienced in hand-rearing a number of small mammal species including hazel dormice and several bat species.

Vicki Johnson - Conservation Officer
Vicki has worked at Wildwood for 4 years, after graduating through DICE (Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology) at the University of Kent. Vicki manages the water vole captive breeding and re-introductions programme. She is very experienced at small mammal handling and trapping.
Vicki is a committee member for the Kent Mammal Group where she co-ordinates the dormouse monitoring, and also teaches courses on small mammal trapping and mammal identification.
Tara Lines - Conservation Training Co-ordinator
Tara is our Conservation Training Co-ordinator, who is responsible for expanding our current range of conservation courses. Previously Tara has worked at ZSL within the education department.
Tara is the point of contact for course bookings and general course enquiries.
